Advocate Bharat Goyal graduated in Law from the Government Law College, Mumbai in the year 1986. He joined and started his career with the late Mr. F. N. Kaka, a Senior Counsel practicing in the Bombay High Court and worked with him as his junior for about 4 years.
Thereafter, he worked with a Junior to Mr. S. F. Parakh, Advocate & Solicitor who was also associated with Late Mr. F. N. Kaka. On and from the year 1999, he has been practicing independently in Courts, in the field of Labour and Industrial Laws.
Mr. Bharat Goyal has been appearing on behalf of several Companies in their matters before the High Court at Mumbai, Industrial Court, Labour Court, Central Government Industrial Tribunal as well as in Courts outside Mumbai. Some of the prominent Companies that he has been representing and on behalf of who he has been appearing in Courts and/or advising are Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. Mr. Bharat Goyal has also been an advisor to Companies on how to innovatively and proactively handle employee relations so that organizations can adapt to the changed environment where the law, particularly in Maharashtra, the MRTU and PULP Act, 1971 has been very restrictive. He has also been updating Companies in respect of various amendments/ notifications issued by the appropriate Authorities under the Labour Laws as well as significant/ landmark judgments pronounced by the Supreme Court and various High Courts in the field of Labour laws.
As Vice President of the Industrial Relations Institute of India, he has been active in professional forums addressing Conferences and Workshops organised by the Institute and giving an update of the law and case law in Industrial Relations, updating the academic knowledge and skills of HR/legal professionals in the Industry and also contributing to articles in the monthly Journal Arbiter.
Mr. Goyal is also an Honorary Member in the Executive Committee of The Employers Federation of India.
